"I have an odd problem with my new Linksys E2500 router. My new computers (3 from 2011) all connect just fine, as does the printer and a couple other devices. However, my old iBook G4 and PowerBook G4 running 10.5.8 can't get a DHCP address, even if connected via ethernet. I see (tcpdump) the DHC request and reply, but I don't know how to investigate the packet contents to see if that would help. If I provide a manual IP address, they can use the internet. Both older systems worked fine with the Netgear router I replaced. Any suggestions?" MacInTouch 9:45 AM
