Attempts to modify the search terms only results in more frustration. This is despite the fact that I have checked the box in the Privacy tab to prevent the search engine from providing suggestions. My workaround has been to drag the favicon for google.com into the bookmarks bar. So I am, in effect, bringing back the search box. I am beginning to get the feeling that Apple is going off on a series of tangents where we can no longer claim 'It just works.'" MacInTouch 8:36 AM
