"I had installed the Lion Combo Update 10.7.5 build 11G56 update a week ago. It immediately caused two problems: I called Apple Tech Support (thank you AppleCare) and they seemed stumped.. their only knowledge of such an anomaly was when the drive was infected by a trojan horse. Several simple fixes did not work. This morning, I read about an 'incremental' 10.7.5 update build 11G63 that was supposed to fix Time Machine backups. 2. Another problem that the 10.7.5 combo build 11G56 had created was the computer was suddenly asking for my password every time I trashed a file, and then emptying my trash immediately without asking. This was also cured." MacInTouch 11:46 AM
"Ever since updating to Mountain Lion, every day, the first time I try to print something, I get a notice that '...driver was installed improperly...' and a button to 'Repair' -once done, everything, all day long, proceeds correctly. I haven't really tried to figure this out, as I'm not sure even where to start. Any help on this? Canon Pixma iP4600 series ink jet printer." MacInTouch 11:46 AM
