A few weeks ago, it suddenly dawned on me that I’d been using the same wallpaper on my iPhone’s Home Screen and Lock Screen for nearly two years. Personalization of electronic displays has never been all that important to me, but it was about time I made a change. Unfortunately, I didn’t really know where to look.
Thank goodness for Reddit.

On Tuesday, Reddit user speckz shared an album from imgur featuring 80 high-resolution movie posters without any annoying text getting in the way of the gorgeous imagery. Although there’s no indication that these are specifically meant to be used as smartphone wallpapers, I’ve snagged a few of them and they fit perfectly on my iPhone 6 display. I didn’t even have to crop them.
I’ve added a few of the images to the post in the gallery above, but you’ll have to go to the imgur album to see the other 76 images. And if 80 isn’t enough, the original source of the textless movie posters appears to be the forums of Blu-ray.com, where well over 1,000 HD posters have been shared over the past few years.
The history of these images aside, you’re sure to find a poster from a movie you like among the dozens on imgur (and the hundreds on Blu-ray.com), so click those links and start searching for your new wallpaper today.
