Intel has just rolled out a new Solid State Drive Toolbox version, namely 3.3.7, which applies new firmware versions to its 750 Series (8EV101F0), 540s Series (036C), E5400s Series (036E), and S3100 Series (036D) SSDs.

To be clear about the changes, the Intel SSD 750 Series products alone receive NVME IO Queue Metrics and Secure Erase Command Monitoring log pages support, updated Secure Erase Command User Data Erase option, and product health improvements.

In addition to that, the series’ 8EV101F0 firmware also fixes the sequential read performance decay and Intel SPDK read errors when formatting 4k+DIF, and removes the bug that caused the drive to disable logical mode after frequent reboots.

As for the other Solid State Drives, their respective updates improve Marvell RAID drive compatibility on Windows 10, enhance product detection, and fix a specific command line crash with NVMe drives.

Moreover, Intel’s 540s, E5400s, and DC S3100 Series won’t encounter BSOD events when resuming from S3/S4 sleep states and receive security improvements for user data, while the Pro 5400s alone gets compatibility enhancements for WinMagic when used with drive Opal security.

When it comes to installation, know that it can be applied to system configurations powered by Microsoft’s Windows XP, Vista, 7, 8, 8.1, and 10 platforms that include at least one valid SSD model (check the Release Notes below).
