Genband has teamed up with IBM to offer a unified communications(UC) and collaboration platform to customers and channel partners on IBM Connections Cloud

GENBAND's Kandy Business Solutions on IBM's cloud, which will be delivered by GENBAND and IBM Solutions Delivery Partners, allows both organizations’ reseller partners to provide a complete cloud solution to the marketplace, delivered by experts in their respective fields. GENBAND is unique in its ability to migrate and transform existing legacy telecom solutions to the cloud, and IBM provides the same capabilities in the social and cognitive space.

The solution is ideal for enterprises seeking competitive offerings to combat “one size fits all” enterprise communications solutions licensing models that are cost-prohibitive and don’t allow for flexibility in either deployment or licensing.

GENBAND said the solution enables elastic scaling to match employment dynamics and minimizes capital outlays. The company added that the integrated solution delivers a superior communications experience, allowing employees to maximize productivity in their work environments while providing the ability to work from anywhere, and connect in real-time from almost any device and collaborate via text, voice or video.

David Walsh, CEO of GENBAND
The beauty of this platform is that we are collectively delivering a comprehensive cloud-based offering that combines our leadership in carrier-grade voice and UC solutions with IBM’s world-class social collaboration capabilities without compromising functionality.
