Watching Apple since 1999. I don't say what they should do. I say what they might do. They sometimes do.

    Somebody doesn’t get it.

The minute my ID is given away to every place I try to make a purchase is the minute I stop using Apple Pay.

If I can go shop at my grocery store and either use my loyalty card or not, then maybe that would work. But if I can only shop with a loyalty card, forget it.

i don’t think it works the way you see it!! I think you retain complete control and the only thing they have is what they (the retailer) already has, which is your loyalty card account number — so you don’t need to use those schemes, but for those who do it’s OK. I presume there’s an opt-in clause on private data.
