The reMarkable Paper Tablet Makes Writing on an iPad Look Dated

Move over Apple Pencil
December 8, 2016

Technology continues to improve at an incredibly rapid rate, and while the iPad Pro combined with an Apple Pencil does a good job of taking notes, it still isn’t the same as writing it down on a piece of paper. However, a new tablet called the reMarkable paper tablet looks like it can mimmic paper in a way that we’ve never seen before.

The reMarkable paper tablet is a 10.3-inch e-ink tablet that look incredibly similar to a Kindle DX, except that it has a special coating on the display that creates extra friction in order to truly simulate writing on paper.

The black and white display on the reMarkable paper tablet is made specifically for note taking  and it comes with a special stylus that has over 2,000 levels of pressure sensitivity in order to allow you to draw and sketch from nearly any angle.

It’s not the cheapest product the world, with a pre-order price of $380, but boy does this thing look super cool, especially if you’re looking to get rid of paper for your daily sketching and note taking.

The reMarkable paper tablet is available for pre-order now with an expected ship date of August 2017.

I really want one.
