Feeling stuck in your ways? Overplayed the Christmas classics already?

Well, finding new music can be a challenge. So if you're struggling to decipher what the song is from an advert, or just want to find some bangers that relate to your favourite listens, it turns out Apple's voice assistant Siri can be a handy DJ.

Here are a few tips just in case you need to revamp your library before 2017 rolls around.

1. Songs that fit your taste

If you're looking to branch out but also don't want your ears assaulted by going too far left-field, simply ask Siri to pull together some tunes that fit the song currently playing.

Of course, this is essentially streamlining Apple Music's recommendations and launching a station based on one track. Siri will list up to 50 songs in the "Up Next" queue, which you can then skip over or hit the "like" heart in order to personalise future listings.

2. Throw it back

Suggesting a themed party is all well and good until you realise you have no idea which music to play throughout the night.

"Let's go disco," you said.

"Maybe some '90s stuff" you jived.

Well, Siri is thankfully on hand to save your blushes and line up the top songs from a certain year.

As a bonus, you can also ask the voice assistant to play the top song from your birthday. Because it's all about you, right?

3. Set the mood

Just broken up with your significant other? Want to get in the Christmas spirit?

Well, whatever the occasion, Siri can provide all the answers without you lifting a finger.

4. "What's that song?"

Is there anything more frustrating than trying to hunt down a song?

Okay, so there's lots of things more frustrating, but Siri will make sure this minor grievance is a thing of the past thanks to some nifty collaborative work with Shazam.

Even better, you don't even have to install the app to make use of its powers.

5. Or just follow the crowd

Sometimes you just have to bury your hipster side and roll with what's popular. With the help of your favourite virtual pal, you'll be reeling off chart hits like Justin Bieber.
