AMD Ryzen PCs And Motherboards Featured At Las Vegas CES 2017
JPAMD made it appear that the Las Vegas CES 2017 was an AMD show as it unveiled a slew of new AMD Ryzen hardware, much to the delight of the video game community. In the recently concluded Las Vegas CES 2017 tech show, AMD announced over a dozen of Ryzen personal computers and a total of 16 AM4 motherboards.
Several big players have announced to feature the new AMD Ryzen chipsets and that their new hardware will be launched simultaneously the same day the new AMD Ryzen chipsets will be made available. Among tech companies who have announced the use of the new AMD Ryzen chipsets for their laptops and PCs are Gigabyte, Biostar, ASRock, MSI and ASUS. A number of these laptops and PCs will have the X370 chipset which is built for high-end Ryzen PCs on their AM4 motherboards.
Another announcement from AMD during the Las Vegas CES 2017 tech show is that they expect their new motherboards up until 2020. This announcement was coupled with a mocking of Intel processors which requires yearly upgrades. AMD's Jim Prior stated that the idea to give the new AMD Ryzen chipsets longer life span is for them to last until DDR5 and other future techs will be released. Though only a single 8-core, 16 thread Ryzen chip has been featured in the AMD Las Vegas CES 2017 event, this does not mean that this model alone will be launched in the first quarter launch of the processor.
Majority of the Ryzen PC are overclockable. The AM4 motherboards with the cutting edge X370, X300 and the more mainstream B350 chipsets will support overclocking. Meanwhile, AM4 motherboards equipped with A-series chipsets may only have stock clock speed. The Las Vegas CES 2017 AMD event is not all Ryzen as the tech company has also unveiled its new AMD Radeon Vega graphics card.
