Hacking corporate networks isn't a subject that's going to grab our attention easily, so HP decided to hire Christian Slater to front its new web campaign. The end result is a four-part video series called "The Wolf," directed by BAFTA and Emmy nominee Lance Acord.

Slater is a very well known actor having done countless movies since he was a teenager. But it's his latest work on Mr. Robot that made him the perfect choice for HP attempting to inform people about the dangers of hacking in the workplace.

HP wants to make it very clear that an unsecured printer can open up an entire network to hackers (the Wolf), as can unsecured desktop PCs and laptops. The answer, according to HP, is HP Secure, because "nothing is safe."

This video series is going to be the first in a range of original online content tasked with informing users about security risks at work. At the same time, HP will be announcing a, "broad range of partnerships, events and product innovations for the most secure devices, solutions and technologies."

If The Wolf videos are to be believed, that means we're going to see printers with malware protection and user authentication built-in. HP is also pushing "the world most secure and manageable PCs," as a tag line, so expect to be hearing that said a lot in the coming months.

HP suggests its Elite PCs as a safe computing option thanks to a range of new security tech including HP Sure Click "hardware-enforced security" for protecting PCs from malware, ransomware, and viruses, HP Sure Start Gen3 self-healing PC BIOS, and the HP BIOSphere Gen 3 firmware ecosystem. Combined, HP is hoping to appeal to business users who want a complete security solution when buying new PCs, and the company is hoping Christian Slater helps them sell it.
