At Mobile World Congress 2016, Huawei unveiled the MateBook, a sleek Windows 10 tablet with stylus support, and a flexible cover with integrated keyboard. The MateBook was an impressive device, but there was no sign of a possible successor at MWC this year.
But if you thought that Huawei might not be planning to release a new version of the MateBook, think again. In fact, it seems that the Chinese tech giant is planning not just a single follow-up to the device, but three.
Serial leakster Evan Blass (better known as @evleaks) posted images of all three devices, known as the MateBook D, MateBook E, and MateBook X.
The E seems closest in concept to the first-gen MateBook, sporting a similar design to the earlier model. But the other two devices are a departure from the previous MateBook, and appear to be more conventional notebooks.
Based purely upon its appearance, the MateBook D seems to be a fairly ordinary compact laptop, with a range of ports in its base. But thanks to WinFuture's Roland Quandt, a bit more information is available on the MateBook X. Earlier this month, that device - codenamed 'Pascal' - appeared on GeekBench, revealing a few details about its key features.
Assuming those details are accurate, the MateBook X will be a 15-inch notebook, and will include a 7th-generation (Kaby Lake) Intel Core i5-7200U processor and 8GB RAM - although it's likely that other CPU and RAM options will also be offered.
We don't yet know exactly when this trio of Windows 10 devices will be officially unveiled, but with the new Creators Update officially available from this week, we may not have to wait too long for manufacturers such as Huawei to reveal some of their latest hardware.
