Download: Cydia Impactor 0.9.42 For iOS 11 Released

Cydia Impactor, a GUI-based tool designed predominantly for working directly with mobile devices in order to sideload and install IPAs and APKs to iOS and Android, has now been updated to version 0.9.42.

The update has been a long time coming and will definitely be one that appeals to impatient iOS users considering the fact that it’s main feature upgrade is compatibility with the ongoing iOS 11 betas.

Jay Freeman’s Cydia Impactor tool has proven itself to be an extremely useful and very popular tool among both jailbroken and non-jailbroken users. The man behind Cydia created and released Cydia Impactor as a work-in-progress, but with an array of built-in features that would be hopefully expanded on over time. Since that launch, we have been witness to a steady stream of updates which have not only introduced small chunks of functionality but also improved upon existing features and offered additional platform compatibility where necessary.

This latest 0.9.42 version is offered for download on macOS, Windows, and Linux, and falls into the category of offering additional platform compatibility to appease iOS device owners. As is generally the case, Freeman hasn’t published the most verbose of release notes alongside the update, but there’s enough provided to learn that Cydia Impactor now supports the ever-changing iOS 11 betas:

0.9.42: Support USB connection to iOS 11 beta; fix signing watchOS apps missing CFBundleName.

The change essentially means that device owners can now use the latest version of Cydia Impactor to sign and sideload IPA files directly to their iOS 11-powered iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch. It also means that anyone who may have previously been having issues with signing watchOS apps which may have been attributed to the CFBundleName issue should no longer have those troubles. All-in-all, a solid update from Freeman which once again pushes Cydia Impactor forward and makes it even more useful to a larger selection of iOS device owners.

Anyone currently using older version of Cydia Impactor is now able to use the Check for Updates option to grab the latest version 0.9.42 as an over-the-air update. Alternatively, the download links for the various platforms will serve up the latest version through cydiaImpactor.com. Go and grab it now to be able to get those IPA files signed to your iOS 11 devices.
