AMD on the Ryze Bigtime with German Ryzen Sales

Big German etailer sells more AMD procs now than Intel ones. Over the weekend the story broke as some reports had been published. The news is interesting as for many years now AMD has been an underdog sales wise.

However Ryzen is doing well. The news comes from and ever since March 2017, when AMD launched Ryzen  series, AMD processor sales have seen a from 28% (vs. 72% of Intel) towards now a proper 56% by the end of August 2017 of that sales pie. This of course is targeted at the DiY component market.

The most popular processor is the one I have been recommending for best value/performance, the Ryzen 5 1600 with its 6c/12t setup. Next in line is the Ryzen 7 1700, again very similar to my recommendation as that 8x/16t proc just needs a little tweaking to get to that4  GHz range. Intel wise the 7700K is the best seller.
