iOS 11.1 Beta 1: What’s New Or Changed?

Here are iOS 11.1 beta 1 release notes, changelog and all other changes (if any) for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch devices.

We already know that Apple has officially released version 11.1 beta 1 of iOS to developers. What this means is that eligible developers around the world will likely be polling Apple’s installation servers over the coming hours to install the first major beta update to iOS 11 since its maiden release.

Those developers will instantly be able to get to grips with all of the changes, improvements, and refinements made within the platform, which once again will hopefully show the determination and hard work of Apple’s engineers, as well as show how quick the company is to react to the needs of users.

The release means that we also have an opportunity to interrogate and view the official release notes – or changelog as some prefer to call it – which Apple has released alongside the update for developers. Those release notes are an instant opportunity to get an immediate overview of exactly what has changed in the platform without having to go through the process of using every aspect of the platform to see what has been added, changed, or fixed. It’s also an opportunity to see what is still broken by seeing if any niggles or issues you have encountered have been crossed off the list.

From the changelog and our initial impressions of iOS 11.1 beta 1, it looks like this update, at least in its beta 1 iteration, doesn’t bring any user-facing changes except for a few tweaks to animations here are there. So far, iOS 11.1 beta 1 appears to only contains multiple bug fixes, security patches, and under-the-hood improvements which should set the scene for continued progress.

Check out the official changelog from Apple below and make sure to head on over to the Software Update mechanism on your device with beta configuration profile installed to grab iOS 11.1 beta 1 if you haven’t already done so.
