Dell Technologies, the world’s largest privately-controlled technology company following the historic merger of Dell and EMC, is celebrating the first anniversary of its formation at GITEX Technology Week 2017. At the technology industry platform, the company will demonstrate the unique value it brings to the market, with all seven integrated companies under one umbrella for the first time in the region.

The Dell Technologies family of businesses includes Dell, Dell EMC, Pivotal, RSA, SecureWorks, Virtustream and VMware. It stands as a $74 billion1 market leader with the industry’s most expansive portfolio from the edge to the data center to the cloud. As a leader in the technologies of today and the future, including servers, storage, PCs, virtualization, security and cloud infrastructure, Dell Technologies will demonstrate strength in harnessing emerging technologies for digital success.

The increasing relevance of Dell Technologies to businesses on the path to digital transformation is underscored by the findings of “The Next Era of Human-Machine Partnerships”, a report published by Dell Technologies. The research, led by the Institute for the Future (IFTF) alongside 20 technology, academic and business experts from across the globe looks at how emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence, robotics, virtual reality, augmented reality and cloud computing, will transform our lives and how we work over the next decade.

According to Dell’s Digital Transformation Index, 52 percent of senior decision makers across 16 countries have experienced significant disruption to their industries as a result of digital technologies. The study looks ahead to the year 2030 where an estimated 85 percent of jobs will be invented with the advent of transformational technologies. These emerging technologies include Artificial Intelligence which will expand to $153 billion in the next five years, the prominent role of Robotics at the workplace, Augmented and Virtual reality where revenue is projected to grow to $90 billion and $30 billion respectively in the next three years, Cloud Computing and the Internet of Things where 50 billion devices will be connected by the year 2020.

“The Internet of Everything, or the next industrial revolution, is fundamentally transforming the way every business in every industry operates,” said Mohammed Amin, Senior Vice President, Middle East, Turkey & Africa, Dell EMC. “In the face of this operational challenge, spurred by changing customer and employee preferences, businesses in the region are increasingly prioritizing Digital Transformation as an investment in the future. Dell Technologies partners with these businesses on this journey, to enable them to optimize key business processes, reduce security risks, uncover new revenue opportunities, and create a more compelling customer engagement.”

At GITEX Technology Week 2017 Dell Technologies will have all seven members of its family of businesses present one organization that is able to uniquely meet Customer technology opportunities from the edge to the data center to the cloud with:

  • Dell – Innovative devices built for the way we work
