What Do You Love (or Loathe) About the iPhone X?

The recently released iPhone X poses a pretty radical shift in terms of how iOS users interact with their smartphone from the moment they pick it up. It’s got a sizable screen, face-scanning technology, and a pair of cameras designed to make your subjects pop without toting a fancy camera.

But not everything about the iPhone X is a step in the right direction, depending on who you ask. For one, there’s no more Home button—instead, the X uses the new Face ID technology as the login method. That vivid 5.8-inch OLED screen has a cutout up top, meaning certain apps, as well as every video you watch on the device, will feature a black bar on its side (unless you manually resize the video). In addition, the glass-covered smartphone is going to run you a pretty penny when it comes to repair costs.

So, iPhone X owners: what do you like about your iPhone X? And what do you hate? While the face-scanning, bokeh-friendly device of the future sounds great, it seems to run into a few snags when it grinds against the reality of, well, normal people. What’s your biggest peeve about the new smartphone? And what can’t you live without now that the thousand-dollar phone is yours?
