Samsung's new program attempts to entice iPhone users to switch

Sometimes, in order to understand something, you have to experience it. This is the idea behind the newly launched Galaxy Experience Program which has made its debut in South Korea. The program is meant to try and sway iPhone owners by allowing them to try out the Galaxy S8 or Galaxy Note8 for a month.

Those that are interested can apply through the Galaxy Experience Program website starting today (on November 21). This portal will remain open for the week and close on November 27. Samsung will then begin the process of selecting users to participate, offering 10,000 people a chance to experience a Galaxy. If selected, participants will have to head to the Samsung Digital Plaza from December 1 through the 11th and pick up their choice of handset. There will be a deposit that is required in the amount of around $45. When the phone is returned the deposit will be refunded.

There is certainly a good reason for Samsung to drum up a little promotion for its handsets, as Apple has recently introduced the iPhone X, which has proven to be quite popular in Korea, selling out in mere minutes.
