Apple’s TV app is finally expanding its reach to new markets. Starting today, it is available in the U.K., France, and Germany, bringing all your favorite content providers together in one place.

Apple designed the TV app to make it easier for users to access shows and movies from different channels and providers. Instead of having to load up individual apps and search different services separately, you can view them all together.

The TV app also services up recommendations for new shows and movies based on what you’ve already watched. Perhaps its greatest feature is its ability to sync to the cloud, so you can pick up from right where you left off on multiple devices.

TV app expands its reach

The TV app made its debut just under a year ago in iOS 10.2, but until now, you couldn’t use it if you weren’t in the U.S., Canada, or Australia. Now Apple is opening it up to users in the U.K., France, and Germany.

The expansion comes with support from local content providers, such as the BBC and ITV in the U.K. In the U.S., more than 60 providers now support the TV app, but it will likely take some time for other markets get the same level of support.

How to access the TV app

You don’t need to install a new update to get your hands on the TV app; it is automatically appearing today. On Apple TV, it’s a brand new app. On iOS, the TV app replaces the Videos app, and does not require an Apple TV to be used.
