This update resolves several Radeon features problems

AMD has announced the availability of the January version of its Radeon Software Adrenalin Edition Graphics driver, namely the 18.1.1 package, which fixes corruptions seen in Starcraft 2, and many more.

Specifically speaking, this update improves compatibility with certain DirectX 9 games, removes the stuttering encountered when using performance metrics in Radeon Overlay, and make sure protected video content runs without any interruptions.

In addition to that, the producer also resolves several corruptions spotted in Radeon WattMan, Radeon Settings, and Movies & TV player, fixes Playerunknown's Battlegrounds menu item flickering, and implements several other changes highlighted in the Release Notes below.

However, AMD’s release might still experience a few issues with Radeon Settings, Radeon WattMan, Radeon Chill, Radeon Overlay, Radeon FreeSync, and Performance Metrics Overlay, as well as a few other problems detailed at the end of this article.

In terms of compatibility, besides a supported GPU, take into account that your configuration must be running a 32- or 64-bit variant of Microsoft’s Windows 7 or 10 operating systems (Windows 8.1 is no longer supported),

Therefore, remove any previous version present on your computer, save and run the appropriate package for your system, wait for all files required to be made available, and follow all instructions displayed on the screen for a complete upgrade.

With this in mind, if you consider applying this release, download AMD Radeon Adrenalin Edition Graphics Driver 18.1.1, install it and perform a reboot once finished. Also, check back with us to stay “updated one minute ago.”
