If you’re a fan of action-packed post-apocalyptic zombie games (and, let’s face it, who isn’t?), it’s your lucky day! That’s because Nanoo Company’s Headshot ZD: Survivor vs. Zombies Doomsday just launched in the iOS App Store today.

Check out the awesome retro-style trailer below — if you dare.

In the game, it’s your job to travel through a zombie-filled world, dispatching brain-hungry hordes of the undead with head shots, while rescuing human survivors and gathering resources.

According to Headshot ZD‘s storyline, 99.9 percent of living creatures on Earth have been zombified thanks to a chemical reaction caused by nuclear radiation and mysterious air pollutants. In this pixel art world, you interact with over 100 unique types of survivors and zombies, utilize a range of weapons, gather additional resources, and explore new areas of the map.

In some ways, the concept reminds me of Death Road to Canada, a similarly retro-styled zombie game which may well have been my favorite iOS title of 2017. While I haven’t yet been able to put Headshot ZD: Survivor vs. Zombies Doomsday through its paces, if it’s able to come close to matching that level of awesomeness, this could be a brilliant gaming experience.

The ages 12+ game is available for download from the App Store for free, with in-app purchases available. It should work on just about any device capable of running iOS 10 or above.
