Intel Names Michael Mayberry CTO, Matthew Smith CHRO in Series of Exec Moves


Michael Mayberry

Michael Mayberry, formerly corporate vice president at Intel (Nasdaq: INTC), has been promoted by the board of directors to senior VP and chief technology officer as part of a series of leadership changes at the Santa Clara, California-based technology firm.

Mayberry will continue to lead global computing and communications research programs as managing director of Intel Labs and serve as head of the firm’s Corporate Research Council, Intel said Wednesday.

He started his three-decade career with the company as a process integration engineer.

Matthew Smith

Matthew Smith, formerly corporate VP of human resources, will succeed Leslie Culbertson as senior VP and chief human resource officer.

Smith, a 21-year Intel veteran, will oversee the development and implementation of HR strategies as head of the global HR team and will join the company’s management panel in his new role.

Leslie Culbertson

Culbertson, formerly SVP of human resources and CHRO, will transition to the role of executive VP and general manager of Intel’s product assurance and security group and will manage cross-company initiatives that seek to build up product security.

She has been with Intel since 1979 and previously held the roles of director of finance and corporate VP.

Ann Kelleher

Ann Kelleher, corporate VP of Intel’s technology manufacturing group, has been promoted to SVP.

Kelleher, a two-decade company veteran, will be responsible for supply chain management, corporate services, client fulfillment and corporate quality assurance efforts.
