How To Install RetroArch Emulator 64-Bit On iOS 11 Without Jailbreak

Do you want to download and install a multi-system gaming emulator on your iOS 11-powered iPhone or iPad but you aren’t jailbroken and don’t think it’s possible? Worry not, as the wonderful RetroArch emulator has now been updated with 64-bit compatibility and can be sideloaded to your device with minimal effort required.

RetroArch has made somewhat of a name for itself over the years as being an emulator on steroids.

Previously available only to jailbroken device owners, RetroArch is now a fully fledged app in its own right, installable via an IPA file, offering an emulation experience which incorporates multiple historical gaming systems.

For those who are after a cutting-edge, one-of-a-kind emulation experience which goes beyond other systems and introduces some wonderful retro gaming possibilities on iOS, then this is where you need to be looking.

If the wonderful RetroArch emulator has previously been a staple installation for you prior to the release of iOS 11, or you just like the sound of the functionality that it will bring to your device, then you will be pleased to know that it isn’t exactly a laborious or difficult process to actually get it on your iOS 11 64-bit device. First of all, you will need to download the updated IPA which has been compiled for iOS 11 and ARM64 compatibility. You can grab that from here.

With that IPA in your possession, it’s then a case of getting the IPA installed on your device. If you are only really used to getting apps and downloads directly from Apple’s official App Store, then sideloading IPA files could feel a little alien to you. Thankfully, as is generally the case, we have already put together a guide on how to install this app using the IPA file, of which the process is the same for iOS 11 devices. You can find that guide here. Just make sure you use the updated IPA file from here when following the instructions in the guide linked.

As you can see from the guide, there’s really only about five minutes of effort needed to get up and running with this emulation experience on iOS 11 thanks to Cydia Impactor. We hope it gives you everything that you need and brings you hours of entertainment from a gaming perspective.
