We’re getting there! No known issues in this new build

Microsoft has just shipped another minor build update to users enrolled in the Fast ring of the Windows Insider program, and just like the last few releases, the purpose is to fix last-minute bugs and refine performance ahead of the eagerly-awaited Windows 10 Redstone 4 launch in April.

Windows 10 build 17115 is thus only available for the Fast ring and comes with general changes, improvements, and fixes for PCs running preview builds.

What’s important to know, however, is that this build does not come with any known issues, which is a sign that development is advancing nicely and the RTM build should be ready rather sooner than later.

In other words, we’re getting there, and with Windows 10 Redstone 4 already feature-locked, the only thing that Microsoft has to do right now is to iron out the latest bugs and compile the RTM build that would then be shipped to all users enrolled in the Insider program.

Changes and improvements

As for what’s changed in this build, you can read the release notes in full in the box after the jump, but it’s worth mentioning that the bug causing Microsoft Store to fail to launch or disappear from Windows 10 PCs has finally been fixed.

And the same for the issue that could have pushed computers into an unbootable state after installing the previous build, though it’s worth emphasizing that only a small number of systems was potentially impacted and there’s no word on how many of them actually experienced this problem.

When it comes to the release dates of Windows 10 Redstone 4, nothing has been confirmed so far, though we do know that RTM should be ready this month ahead of the public launch in April. Just like before, the debut of Redstone 4 will happen in stages to systems across the world, so some machines will get them sooner than others, depending on the running software and hardware.
