MacVoices #18077: The MacJury – Education, Apple, Google, and How Much Security Is Too Much

Apple has an education-focused event coming up in Chicago, so it was perfect timing that The MacJury convened to discuss the topic of education from a tech perspective. Apple’s performance in the market, questions over Google’s entry and intentions with their push into school tech, and whether students need more or less security/privacy were all covered in lively fashion by the panel of Jeff GametKelly Guimont, and host Chuck Joiner.

Guests:

Jeff Gamet is the Managing Editor for The Mac Observer, and the author of Fresh Brewed Tales, a chronicle of Jeff’s strange adventures at coffee shops. He also is the host of the Daily Observations podcast and co-host of The Apple Context Machine. You can find his regular updates on Twitter

Kelly Guimont is a longtime Apple geek, sitting down (on a telephone book) in front of an Apple IIe in 1983. She can still hear the ticking of the ImageWriter. Thanks to the miracle of the adjustable leg desk, she no longer needs the phonebook. Kelly writes for The Mac Observer, is co-host of The Aftershow, makes regular appearances on the Daily Observations Podcast and the British Tech Network and yet still has more to say which she saves for Twitter
