Drafts 5 Arrives With Siri Support, an Updated Editing Experience and More

Getting Stuff Done
April 18, 2018

One of the best text editors and note-taking apps on the App Store is getting a big upgrade. Drafts 5 has arrived with a number of improvements including Siri support and much more.

Completely rewritten, the new app offers a new editor featuring a number of different customizable settings and support for syntax highlighting options.

Another great addition is Siri support. You can tell the virtual assistant the title of the draft and what it should say in the body.

The app will also allow users to group keyboard action into categories and then change those by context.

Other new features include Tagging and Workspaces for easier customization, a Focus Mode, and improved actions.

Apple Watch users can even dictate or scribble new drafts and organize with different tags. An included watch complication will allow quick access to the app.

Drafts 5 is designed for the iPhone and all iPad models. It can be downloaded now on the App Store for free.

A Drafts Pro subscription is $19.99 per year or $1.99 per month. There is a seven-day free trial available. With a subscription, users can unlock a number of other features including themes, icon customization, action editing, workspaces, and more.

The new app is separate from the existing Drafts 4. That app will continue to be available and supported.
