Last month AMD rolled out its 2nd-gen Ryzen CPUs and APUs with a great critical reception and now motherboard manufacturer, ASRock, has confirmed that it is working on B450 Motherboards For AMD Ryzen CPUs and APUs.

According to ASRock, it is working on four B450 Motherboards for the AMD Ryzen CPUs which include B450 Fatal1ty Gaming K4, B450 Fatal1ty Gaming-ITX/ac, B450M Pro4, and B450 Pro4. These motherboards will feature support for XFR2 Enhanced and Precision Boost Overdrive.

However, the company didn’t reveal the specifications for these B450 Motherboards and if the company is working on them then we might be seeing at least one mini-ITX B450 motherboard at launch.

Also, AMD is yet to officially announce the B450 motherboards and if the rumors and leaks are to be believed then the company will be revealing these motherboards in the 3rd quarter of 2018 along with remaining entry-level Ryzen CPUs and APUs.

Speaking of AMD, the company’s CEO has noted that with the help of Ryzen CPUs and APUs it will grab 20% of CPU market share by the end of 2018 and this will increase to 40% in next few years.

Not only that, AMD has confirmed its 7nm+ Zen CPUs and Next-Gen GPUs for 2020 launch.

Speaking of Zen architecture, it seems that the AMD Zen 5 will be based on 3 nm process instead of on 5 nm as GlobalFoundries plans to skip the latter one altogether.

According to CEO of GlobalFoundries Tom Caulfield, he doesn’t think that 5 nm is going to be enough for the company to invest in it and 3 nm process will be required to get “full performance”. However, he didn’t confirm that the company will indeed skip the 5 nm in favor of 3 nm process.

What are your expectations for these AMD B450 Motherboards for Ryzen CPUs and APUs? Let us know in the comments.
