No, the new iPhone SE won't look like this.

The look of iPhone ads is familiar. A cool song blares while the device sleekly moves before the camera. An artist has used that formula to create an ad for the iPhone SE 2, a smartphone not yet released.

The look of the phone matches the latest rumors of this upcoming budget model. It seems almost real.

The original iPhone SE debuted in 2016, and is now quite long in the tooth. A replacement is expected soon, and unconfirmed reports of its specifications have been all over the web.

The latest YouTube video featuring the next version is from Concept Creator, who has turned other computer renders of phones into simulated advertisements.

The iPhone SE 2 video shows the rumored device with an edge-to-edge display. There’s also the screen cutout (notch) for Face ID. An iPhone accessory maker claimed earlier this month that this will be the design for Apple’s next budget phone.

If it really does support Face ID, users will also be able to send Animoji. That feature is highlighted in the simulated ad.

iPhone SE 2 back, sides, and insides

Concept Creator chose to put a metal back on the device, which is in-line with some rumors. However, others point to a glass back so the device can have wireless charging.

The general design is similar to the current iPhone SE: with squared edges and round buttons. Really, it looks like the iPhone 4 and an iPhone X had a baby. The SE and its replacement will allegedly be about the same size.

The video from Concept Creator makes no mention of the device’s internals, but earlier rumors indicate it will have the Apple A10 processor that debuted in the iPhone 7. It’s also expected to cost the same as the current SE versions, which start at $349.

The launch of the iPhone SE 2 — or whatever it’s called — isn’t expected until September. Still, some are hoping it well launch at Apple’s developer conference in early June.
