AMD has made available a new version of its Radeon Pro Adrenalin Edition Graphics driver, namely 18.5.1, which corrects the black sparse textures in CATIA, fixes the intermittent application hangs with Petrel, and more.

This new update makes sure that users won’t experience crashes with Cinema 4D while running in Vulkan mode, and corruption when playing Stock Simulation in HSMWorks for SOLIDWORKS.

In addition to that, AMD has also managed to resolve a few display issues encountered when closing DOPP window or hot unplug and plug of 8K monitors, and addresses the unexpected reboot during driver installation.

However, AMD might still encounter issues with Radeon Overlay, Radeon Pro Settings, Eyefinity Pro, Radeon Pro WX 9100 profiles, and other problems highlighted in the Release Notes below.

Regarding compatibility, besides the supported GPU, take into account that your configuration must be running a 32- or 64-bit variant of Microsoft’s Windows 7 or 10 operating system.

Therefore, to upgrade to this version, uninstall any previous AMD driver present on your computer, perform a reboot, save and run the downloadable executable suitable for your configuration and follow all instructions displayed on the screen for a complete and successful upgrade.

With this in mind, AMD Radeon Pro Adrenalin Edition Graphics Driver 18.5.1, install it and perform a reboot once finished to enjoy these new changes. Also, check back with us to stay “updated one minute ago.”
