SINGAPORE - HP launched on Thursday (June 21) a compact inkjet printer that doubles up as a Bluetooth speaker, along with a portable photo printer and several new laptops.

The HP Amp 125 (available now at $169) is a colour inkjet printer that prints up to 7.8 monochrome pages per min (ppm) and 5.5 colour ppm. It has a sound system featuring HP's Smart Amp technology.

Users can connect their smartphones or PCs to the printer via Bluetooth for music streaming. With its built-in microphone, the Amp 125 also works as a speakerphone for a paired smartphone.

HP's new portable photo printer, the Sprocket Plus (available now at $229), delivers prints that are 30 per cent larger than the 2 x 3-inch prints of the original Sprocket.

Users can customise their photos with borders, emojis, stickers and filters using the free HP Sprocket app (available on Android and iOS) before printing them out on the printer via Bluetooth.

There are two new models in HP's Envy line of laptops - Envy 13 (available on June 29 from $1,499) and Envy x360 13 (available in mid-July from $1,399). The latter is the first 13-inch convertible laptop in the series and one of the few laptops in the market to come with AMD's Ryzen processor and Radeon Vega Graphics.

In addition, HP has refreshed its Pavilion line of laptops. At only 17.9mm thick, the HP Pavilion 14 and 15 are the thinnest models in the series. Both models are available in Intel or AMD processor variants, with pricing starting from $1,399 for the Pavilion 14 and from $1,249 for the Pavilion 15.

The new HP Pavilion x360 (starts from $1,349) is a convertible laptop with a chrome-plated hinge that allows it to be used in four modes - work, write, watch and play.

For gamers, there is the new Pavilion Gaming Laptop 15 (from $1,599). It comes with a 15-inch display and features a cooling system using dual fans with exhaust vents located on the back corners of the laptop for better airflow.

All new Pavilion laptops are expected to be available here on June 29.
