7 Core 14 Thread AMD Ryzen 7 2700X Processors Spotted

we have spotted an AMD Ryzen 7 2700X CPU with 7 cores and 14 threads. Here is what you need to know about these chips that have been spotted.

The AMD Ryzen 7 2700X has 8 cores and 16 threads, which makes it the mainstream CPU with the most cores and threads. This has been the case since last year when the AMD Ryzen 7 1800X was announced. Intel did release 6 core CPUs but that is still behind what AMD has to offer. Now we have spotted an AMD Ryzen 7 2700X CPU with 7 cores and 14 threads.

The AMD Ryzen 7 2700X has 2 sets of CCX units, each with 4 CPU cores. The BIOS will provide CCX core control functions but usually are symmetrically turned on/off. If you think about it AMD could pull this off but as of right now we do not know whether or not AMD is planning to release 7 core and 5 core parts. Looking at these screenshots, it might be possible but as this has not been confirmed by AMD you need to take this information with a grain of salt.

AMD has been pulling off some great moves ever since the company released the AMD Ryzen CPUs. It has been more than a year since then and we have already got the second generation AMD Ryzen chips as well as the AMD APUs that are pretty great as stand-alone entry level chips. The integration of the AMD Vega graphics with the Zen core has come a long way and it provides better power as compared to Intel Integrated graphics.

Intel is lagging behind since the 10nm process has been delayed and all the hype around the Intel Z390 chipset has also gone to waste as we have learned that it does not provide much additional functionality as compared to the Z370 chipset and will most likely be a money-making scheme.

Let us know what you think about the AMD Ryzen 7 2700X 7 core 14 thread CPU and whether or not you are interested in buying this CPU if it is released.
