AMD Drivers Are the Most Stable, According to Third-Party Audit

QA Consultants released a new report praising AMD's drivers as best in the industry

Independent software quality assurance experts at QA Consultants have released a new report on AMD, saying they have the most stable drivers in the graphics industry. AMD's systems passed 401 out of 432 tests devised by QA, whereas Nvidia passed 356 - this amounts to a pass rate of roughly 93% for AMD vs 82% for Nvidia.

QA Consultants tested six of AMD's most popular GPUs on the high, medium, and budget price points for tasks involving both Gaming as well as Workstations, against Nvidia graphics cards. Among the cards tested were the Radeon RX Vega 64, RX 580, and RX 560 for gaming, and Radeon Pro WX 9100, WX7100, and WX 3100 for workstations, using Radeon Software Adrenali 18.5.1 and Radeon Pro Software Enterprise 18.Q2.

After conducting a four-hour Crash test on each card consecutively, six times a day for 12 days, Radeon's drivers' overall stability score was significantly higher. This reflects their continued emphasis on driver stability along with top performance to ensure the best overall experience.
