Apple released iCloud Control Panel for Windows this week—as the name suggests, the utility allows Windows users to use and manage, “Photo Stream, Contacts and Calendars (Microsoft Outlook 2007 or later required) and Bookmarks (Safari 5.1.1 or Internet Explorer 8 or later required).”

iCloud is Apple’s cloud-based service that handles data synchronization between Apple’s iOS devices, Macs, and, in a more limited fashion, Windows PCs. Photo Stream is a branded service under the iCloud umbrella that makes photos that you take with your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch available on all your devices and the Web at the same time.
It was released under version 1.0.1, and it is the successor to MobileMe Control Panel for Windows. It’s a 40.03MB download from Apple’s Downloads site.
