Your Gmail Is About To Change Again, This Time With New Stuff From Google+

Google just announced a few new features for Gmail that integrates Google+ directly into your inbox.

Here's what's new:

  • When you receive an e-mail from a Google+ user, a snippet of his or her profile will appear next to the message. If that person is already in your circles, you'll see his or her latest update. If not, you'll have the option to add that person to your circles.
  • Your circles now integrate directly with Gmail, so now you can view e-mails sent by people in each group. For example clicking the "Coworkers" circle in Gmail will pull up all your messages people in that circle have sent you.
  • Now your Gmail contacts who are also Google+ users will have all their contact information synced between the two services.

  • You can share attachments and links in Gmail to Google+ by clicking the "Share" button at the bottom of each e-mail.
