The Dark Knight is taking his crime-fighting skills to the iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch.

Warner Bros. Interactive has launched a mobile game based on their stellar action title Batman: Arkham City.

Titled Batman: Arkham City Lockdown, the game features the Caped Crusader engaged in a series of one-on-one encounters with villains roaming the downtown prison, including The Joker, Two-Face and Deathstroke.

Lockdown is developed by NetherRealm Studios, the group behind console brawler Mortal Kombat.

To play, users swipe across the screen with their fingers, stringing together touch-based moves to pull off attack combos. Batman also has his arsenal of gadgets such as bat-a-rangs and smoke pellets handy.

The game is available for $5.99.
