Bitdefender puts a Sphere around multi-device security

By

Is there a mixed bag of computers and mobile devices in your household? Bitdefender's Sphere may be a convenient way of licensing security software for them all - unless you're an iPad or iPhone user.

Bitdefender Sphere delivers security software for up to three Macs, three Windows PCs and three Android devices for a single $99.95 subscription.

Sphere comprises Bitdefender Total Security 2012 for Windows, Bitdefender Antivirus for Mac, and Bitdefender Mobile Security.

Features vary across the platforms, but include malware detection, protection against Facebook and Twitter specific threats, remote wiping, warning of risky websites, and blocking attempts to steal credit card data, the company claims.

"Users are vulnerable to an increasing array of threats from all angles at all times," said Bitdefender Sphere product manager, Cătălina AlbiÈteanu. "Bitdefender has decided to shake up the security market - by simplifying things. The Sphere means peace of mind, and ease of use."
