Macworld 2012: Doxie Go Scanner Now With Wi-Fi

January 27, 2012

Doxie — an amazing document scanner made for digitizing and organizing papers, photos, and receipts — just got a little better. At Macworld on Thursday, Apparent Corporation unveiled the new Doxie Go + Wi-Fi. It’s a new model that scans anywhere. You don’t need a computer to use it either: it sends directly to the cloud, and syncs with your Mac, PC, and iDevices.

Apparent has added Wi-Fi to Doxie. It’s powered by Eye-Fi and directly syncs to your iDevice. It even has a built-in battery and memory allowing you to scan and sync anywhere at anytime, wirelessly, to your Mac, PC, iDevice, and the cloud. You can even send scans straight to Evernote.

The Doxie Go + Wi-Fi is $239 and available now. It includes the scanner, companion software, and a bundled Eye-Fi wireless SD card. The Doxie 2.1 software is also included with the scanner (for Mac and PC), which allows you to sync and create searchable PDF files. The iOS app is also free in the App Store.

This seems like a great tool for digitizing and storing photos, documents, and even receipts. What would you most like to use this scanner for?
