In my article, "Apple Wins Another Round Against Samsung Galaxy In Germany," I described that The Düsseldorf Higher Regional Court in Germany upheld a lower court ruling that banned Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1.

Samsung had introduced a new model called Galaxy Tab 10.1N to get around the ban.  The new tablet 10.1N distinguishes itself from Apple (AAPL) iPad by wrapping a metal bezel around the tablet.

Apple had sought a ban on Galaxy Tab 10.1N.  A German court has now declined to ban Galaxy Tab 10.1N in Germany.  It appears that the court was impressed with the change Samsung made to Galaxy Tab to make it look different from an iPad.

The outcome of patent battles can make a huge difference to the performance of Apple stock. More battles are yet to come.  Stay tuned to Forbes for the latest news on Apple patents.
