Cops track iThieves

Crafty police officers used their own iPhones to hunt down two smartphone thieves in separate incidents this week, cops said.

Cops in East Harlem used a free app called “Find My iPhone” to locate and arrest a 14-year-old who grabbed a 24-year-old woman’s iPhone yesterday and sprinted into the nearby housing projects, where he hid the phone in his underwear.

Queens cops used the same tactic to track Darrius Lee, 19, after he allegedly pistol-whipped his 27-year-old victim and made off with his iPhone, iPad and wallet in Springfield Gardens on Thursday.

“It’s a great tool,” said Officer Brian Sheil.
