iPhone stoveWe all know that China has a reputation when it comes to imitation products or using the name and logo of a more popular product when it comes to naming its own products. Well it looks like the theft of the iPhone brand has been taking to new heights (or lows). The authorities in China recently raided a warehouse and seized 681 iPhone-branded cooking stoves. Yes that’s right: cooking stoves. In addition to stealing the name iPhone, the stoves also featured Apple’s iconic logo.

Now it’s uncertain what the stoves’ designers were thinking when they attempted such a stunt, but I wonder if it really helped to push sales of the kitchen appliance. I guess we’ll never find out now since they’ve been taken away by the police. Any chance that Apple decides to venture into domestic machinery in the future? More images here.
