Most-Wanted iPad 3 Feature? Retina Display

In a recent poll of PCMag readers, a Retina Display was the most-wanted feature on the iPad 3.

In a few hours, we'll all know what Apple has up its sleeve for the new iPad, but in a , a Retina Display was the most-wanted feature on the next-gen tablet.

About 44 percent of those polled said they were most looking forward to the sharper display, like the one found on the iPhone 4 and 4S.

Readers were split almost evenly among the remaining options. About 13 percent hoped that Apple will , 11 percent were hoping that a smaller, 7.85-inch iPad is in the works, 10 percent want a speed boost with 4G LTE capabilities, while 9 percent would like to see a better camera.

Respondents made a few suggestions of their own, too, and among the most popular requests were a USB port and SD card reader, a quad-core processor, and Siri, the voice-based assistant found on the iPhone 4S.

A few of you also joked that you'd prefer the iPad be an Android device, specifically a Samsung tablet, despite the fact that Samsung said recently that it was .

Like some of us at PCMag, a few of you also hoped that Flash would finally make its way to iOS, but we probably shouldn't hold our breath. There were also requests for more memory, wireless charging, a 3D display, Microsoft Office (), NFC, haptic feedback, and more.
