Get past the overwhelming amount of information on offer and LifeTopix is an impressively detailed productivity app. It's more than just a To Do list app, even more than a calendar app or notes facility. It intends to replace all of these by offering everything in one place and the very useful ability of linking things together.

Taking a look at the main menu for the app explains all. Divided into 12 sub sections, there's room in this app for Tasks & Projects, Shopping, Events, Travel, People & ervices, Health, Finances, Home & Assets, Education, Notes, Media and Bookmarks. Tap on any of these and even more options open up. This is where the power of the app yet the confusion shine through in equal measures.

Impressively, it all links up also. Events can be created simply enough, but alongside that lists or reminders can be included, all connected to the one situation. In this one app, it's a similar interface to add the weekly grocery shopping list as it is to add a party or bill payment.

In each case, everything anyone could possibly imagine is included. Multiple shopping lists can be created, users can keep track of prescriptions or diets, while also entering information about their local plumber or electrician (all integrated with the iOS device's address book). Photos and audio clips can be bundled in too, alongside bookmarks that are needed regularly.

There's no requirement to use every tool within the app. Much like a Swiss Army Knife, most users will find themselves sticking with a set few options but the potential is there.

Rather vitally given the nature of the app, iCloud syncing ensures that all data can be stored in the cloud, but the app also works alongside Evernote, Dropbox, MobileMe and all major social networks to ensure users are always connected.

So what's the catch? LifeTopix's intimidating nature. It's such a potentially large app in terms of exploration options, that it can take some getting used to. There is the ability to hide irrelevant sections but it's worth persevering. Half a dozen more simple apps could, at first, solve things faster, but it'd take up more space and require more adjustment in the long run. Stick at it and LifeTopix comes into its own for those in dire need of more organization in their life.
