USA TODAY for iPhone is an all-new native iOS app that features content directly from the news source in a complete new design. Including top stories from money and sports to technology and travel, the new "2.0" app is a highly useful tool to catch up on or explore world happenings.

At first look, the sleek black design seems to fit very nicely with the look and feel of the iPhone. Users are brought to the top news section upon launching the app. And it's not just text that is brought up on the screen. The app displays a big and beautifully optimized picture at the top with a headline overlay and the ability to click it or scroll through more top news.

A simple click of the upper left menu tab brings the user to the topic section such as news, money, sports, etc. The menu is super quick and easy to navigate and within a few taps the user can be taking a stroll through "Week in Travel" images from around the world or watching a video about the quantity of Harvard students who tend not to graduate due to the various startups they get involved with such as Ankit Gupta who raised $9 milling in financing for his Pulse News Reader app.

Not only is navigation simple, it's quick. A tap of any button drops down a menu or slides a panel over almost instantaneously. It's the type of speed that makes me happy, but also sad when I go back to a slow app. There were no major issues I saw when testing the app. However, there are in-app ads, but they're not intrusive.

The USA TODAY for iPhone app also features the ability to set the user's weather to their location automatically by using the location service within the app. This feature isn't revolutionary, but it's a nice add. Sharing via Twitter, email, Facebook and SMS is one tap away as well.

For its speedy response time, always superbly informative and well-written content, the USA TODAY for iPhone app is a must download for anyone wanting to track trending news via copy, pictures and video.
