HP, Lenovo Reportedly To Open Retail Stores In Taiwan

This article is more than 10 years old.

Hewlett-Packard and Lenovo are both planning to build out their own branded retail stores in Taiwan to better compete with Apple, DigiTimes reports, citing "sources form the retail channel."

The story notes that Lenovo now has five stores in Taiwan, but is planning to build out as many as 1,000 stores in Asia. HP, the story notes, is creasing a "full-service center" in Taipei, combining product maintenance with product exhibition in one location. The piece says this will be HP's eight full-service center in the Asia-Pacific region.

Think Apple feels threatened? Neither do I.
