Max Payne Coming to iOS, Android This Month

Rockstar Games announced Friday that Max Payne Mobile will be headed to your iOS and Android devices later this month.

The game will hit the iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch on Thursday, April 12, with the Android version following two weeks later on April 26.

"The full classic Max Payne PC experience, Max Payne Mobile has been optimized for both iOS and Android devices and features HD graphics, high-resolution textures, Social Club connectivity and user-customizable controls," Rockstar said in a statement.

Max Payne Mobile will work on the iPhone 3GS, 4, 4S and fourth-generation iPod touch, as well as all three iPads. A list of compatible Android devices in expected within the coming weeks.

Pricing wasn't announced, but as SlashGear noted, "we doubt most people would pay more than $5 for the now 11 year old game."

The announcement comes about two months after it would push back the release of Max Payne 3 to May 15 in North America for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 consoles, with the PC version available on May 29. The game was originally slated for a March debut.
