Activision will reveal its next title based on the red-hot Call of Duty franchise on May 1.
According to a message on the official Call of Duty website, the publisher will unveil the new game during TNT's coverage of the NBA Playoffs.
Most of the rumors swirling around the franchise's next chapter point to a sequel to 2010's Call of Duty: Black Ops.
Based on how development duties have been delegated by Activision, this year's title would be handled by studio Treyarch. They worked on previous Call of Duty titles such as Black Ops and World at War.
Call of Duty continues to rake in huge revenue for the publisher since the franchise took off with 2007's Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. Last year's release of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 netted $1 billion in 16 days.
