The first issue of Wired arrived in January of 1993, with famed writer and futurist Bruce Sterling on the cover. It's just been re-released as an iPad app with the addition of a full archive of photos and a 12,000 word oral history. The app is a page-by-page replica of the issue with annotations and notes for additional reading. The app is free, and available from iTunes right now.
