Apple extended its library of iOS emoji icons in its iOS 5.1 release, and the icons have been present in every firmware build that has landed ever since. However, the Cupertino company is yet to activate the latest set, and so they remain hidden within your device’s software. Fortunately, a new jailbreak tweak called Emoji2 for iOS 5.1+ unlocks them all for you.
Emoji2 for iOS 5.1+ is a $0.99 tweak available to download now via the BigBoss repository within Cydia, and it’s compatible with all iOS devices — iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch — running iOS 5.1 or above.
Once installed, you’ll find Emoji2 within your device’s Settings app. It replaces one of the international keyboards you don’t use on your device and provides your with an entire library of new emoji icons. The tweak does require a little bit of manual setup, but it’s incredibly simple, and it does provide instructions.
If you’re addicted to adding emoji icons to your text messages, emails, and instant messages, Emoji2 is well worth its $0.99 price tag.
