MacBook Air Gets More Storage, USB 3.0

SAN FRANCISCO — Apple CEO Tim Cook introduced updated MacBook Air models during the company’s Worldwide Developers Conference keynote presentation on Monday. The new ultralight laptops are available with up to 512GB flash-based storage and for the first time include USB 3.0 ports.

The new MacBook Air is available with up to a 2GHz dual-core i7 processor, up to 8GB RAM, 60 percent faster graphics performance, USB 3 and USB 2 combo ports, a 720p FaceTime camera, and more.

The 11-inch model starts at US$1,199 with a 1.7GHz dual-core i5 processor, and the 13-inch model starts at $1,499 with a 1.8GHz dual-core i5 processor. The new models are available today.
