Apple Rolls Out First Update for New MacBook Pro Models

Apple introduced its new MacBook Pro on Monday during the Worldwide Developers Conference keynote, and by the end of the day had already released the first update for the new models. MacBook Pro (Mid 2012) Software Update 1.0 “includes fixes that improve graphics stability, external display support, and USB 3 device support,” according to the release notes.

Apple introduced two MacBook Pro lines at WWDC; one that uses the familiar unibody design the laptop is known for, and a second that includes a retina display, solid state data storage, dual Thunderbolt ports, but no optical drive.

MacBook Pro (Mid 2012) Software Update 1.0 is available for compatible Macs via the Software Update application or as a downloadable installer at the Apple Support website.
